Jet

Sadness obscures my memory when trying to recall
All those happy moments before you took your fall

The minutes now seem longer as each are filled with sorrow
And I wonder if I’ll ever, find joy in another tomorrow

Then like a calming wave, your image floats through my eyes
The light within you did not die, you’ve just taken to the skies

You joined the others up above, to watch over me, from there
Your heart as big as eternity, now engulfs me in my chair

Four paws a tail and a husky bark were the disguise that you did wear
For now I see so clearly that, an ‘Angel’ lived in there
