Flaws
I know I have flaws
that can open up doors
to the parts that I keep hidden
For my healing to start
I must now take heart
to see all is not as bidden
The mirror soon cracks
revealing the facts
my illusions are a pile of midden
My journey seems long
where I have to be strong
like a Phoenix my soul has risen
Buried deep within me
others tell me they see
it’s my heart from which I’m driven
So from this day
I hasten to say
“Thanks for reminding me why I’ve striven”
