Cherry Blossom

The country house is set, in gardens lush and green
Where once, Lords and Ladies danced, and entertained a Queen

As cherry blossom falls, so gently on to the lawns
The peppered dusting of these blooms, adorns the ornamental fauns

The pink and crimson flowers with their heady exotic scent
Resemble bridal confetti that is thrown with love that’s meant

And though the seasons cycle and the tides and moon do rise
The cherry blossom tree stands tall, it’s trunk still filled with pride

It’s very essence is to display, such beauty all around
Releasing aroma as petals fall, to deeply carpet the ground
