Well what can I say, except a huge thank you to the following bloggers, firstly Marvellous Pages who recently nominated me for the Sunshine Blogger Award, and then two days later The Louder Mind who also nominated me for this award.

If books and movies are your thing you will find great reviews here at Marvellous Pages I especially enjoyed ~H@RDIP~’s review on Sherlock Holmes as he covers the books, movies and my favourite, the UK TV series adaptations.

Priyanka writes poetry with an upbeat positive outlook, I really enjoyed ‘The Flawsome Me!  Her beautiful work can be found at The Louder Mind

So following the format as given to me here are the rules for this particular Award.

  • List the rules and include the Sunshine Blogger Award logo in your post.

My questions posed by Marvellous Pages

Q.Why did you start the blog?

My Answer: My family and friends have been urging me for a while to share my poems.  As I have a little more time on my hands thought I would give it a try, and have been blown away by the response.

Q. Do you have any long term goals for your blog. If yes, what are they?

My answer: That is a really great question, but not one I have given any serious thought to.  For now I am enjoying reading and following other blogs, whilst sharing whatever I feel compelled to share, but most of all having fun.

Q. What’s your favourite past time and why?

My answer: Well, I’m not sure I can mention that here on the world wide web đŸ€Ș😂😁 No seriously, to be honest there are so many things that I love doing.  Spending time with family and friends, reading, writing, listening to music, walking on the beach or in the Australian Bush with my dogs, cooking, healing, teaching, and learning new things.  But as we are being specific here I would have to say sitting on the patio early in the morning meditating and listening as the world wakes up.  Equally at the end of the day listening and reflecting.  It is during these times that I am most inspired to write.

Q. What is your number one go to movie and why?

My answer: The Neverending Story because I love Falkor The Luck Dragon.

Q.  If, you could do anything what would that be?

My answer:  Ride on the back of Falkor to all the great spiritual sites around the world.

Q.  Who inspires you and why?

My answer:  Princess Diana because of her huge heart and humanitarian efforts.   The songwriters, Bono of U2 and Fish (Derick William Dick) of Marillion (1981-1988) – for their amazing lyrical ability.

Q.  Give two pieces of advice for new bloggers?

My answer:  Have fun and enjoy the journey.

Q.  What is your favourite type of music?

My answer: I have a very eclectic taste in music so it is impossible to chose a favourite.   About the only music that doesn’t float my boat is jazz, and I have no idea why!

Q.  Who were you in a different life?

My answer:  Tinker, tailor, soldier, spy?  Anything and everything, because you see I happen to believe in reincarnation and so I have been many personalities.  What about you? 😜

Q.  What is your favourite book and Why ?

My answer:  As a child I loved the Adventure Series by Enid Blyton.  My three favourites were The Castle of Adventure, The Ship of Adventure and The Island of Adventure.  I would get lost in the stories, which really came alive for me.  I believe our imagination is our greatest gift especially when creating.

I still love to read children’s stories, as no matter what my age I am always transported back in time to when life was filled with love and safety, adventure and possibilities, and my overactive imagination gets to run riot.   These seem to allude us when the responsibility of adulthood looms large and overpowers us.

Q. What does the “Sunshine Blogger Award” mean to you?

My answer:  I feel very humble and grateful to be nominated for this Award.  Thank you Marvellous Pages and The Louder Mind 🙏

Meet the Nominees

Nominating is a little tricky as being new to blogging the nominees I would choose I have previously nominated for the other Award, and I respect the fact that many of them chose not to participate.  So that said, as I am a great believer in encouragement I would like to invite anyone who lands on this page to consider themselves nominated for this Award.  Everyone has value and is important and if you have something to share in whatever capacity, in my book deserves recognition.  So please give us all the opportunity to get to know you a little better.  The following are the questions I would like to ask.
